Joan Capella was born in Montcada i Reixac in 1927. After studying at La Llotja, he is interested in the School of Paris, which he will know during different visits to France. Joan Capella died in 2005. During his later years his work was reinforced by the creation of the Joan Capella Foundation on his natal Montcada I Reixac. This led the city council to take care of his artistic legacy. After Capella’s death, the Foundation has presented his work in many cities, publishing books, catalogues and biographies vindicating his trajectory.
