After 45 years of happy and gratifying career, Dalmau gallery says goodbye.
On reaching the 45th anniversary of the gallery we have decided to close a very happy and fulfilling professional cycle. Our trajectory has been characterised by having managed to bring to Barcelona exhibitions of historical avant-garde and the Spanish School of Paris, from which we have all learned a great deal. At the same time, we have surrounded ourselves with a group of contemporary artists who have accompanied us throughout these years.
The recognition we have received from the critics, with the two ACCA awards, and the GAC prize for our career from the gallerists, have confirmed the suitability of the path we chose back in 1979.
However, everything has a beginning and an end, and we wanted to go away leaving a good memory in Barcelona. The October 2024 exhibition, dedicated to J. Torres-Garcia, was the finishing touch to the Dalmau, the farewell. The success of this exhibition has been due to the collaboration of the collectors, the press and all of you.
